Any one refer me to a pension lawyer who is familiar with Teachers Retirement system in New York city?

  1. Have you tried PBGC? www.pbgc.gov They are not lawyers but a governement agency that oversees pension plans. They may be able to help with whatever issue you are having.
  2. Why not contact the union. You pay all those dues, they should have a list of the best ones.
  3. My general experience is that few lawyers are truly educated about pension issues. If your gripe is over a benefit split after a divorce, you are better off finding a good divorce attorney. If you think the plan is unfair, then the best source is your union rep who may have more knowledge of and influence over the plan
