How do I find the pension fund of a UK company I left 15 years ago and which seems not now to exist?

The company is Simon Engineering plc which was based in Cheadle near Stockport.

  1. There is a govenment help line now for this I think it is called GOVPEN I have seen it several times If you google some key word I am sure you will find it
  2. Simon Engineering, I think that is the company that took over Crosland Platens? Contact them and ask them about the pension company.
  3. The Pension Service provides a Pension Tracing Service http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Over50s/RetirementAndPensions/AboutToRetire/DG_10027189
  4. The department of work and pensions has a pension tracing service. It can be found on the website. It takes a bit of finding but is under pensions planning. Ps been up on a Simon platform many times when part of fire service excellent machine. Good luck
  5. Type "Simon Engineering" into Google.co.uk. A few pieces of information come up, which may relate to that company (?)
